NEW!!!!!! The Conservation District now has booklets of land ownership maps for sale. Replacing our outdated 1984 fold up map, this map is updated off of the State Library's information. Cost for the booklets is $25 plus shipping if necessary. Contact the Conservation District for more information. The Conservation District can order the same maps in Wall Format. They will cost $40 each and need to be pre-ordered. Around the first of September every year, the District starts taking orders for shelterbelts, wildlife plantings, living snow fences etc. A low-cost alternative to nurseries, the program is NOT for landscaping purposes, only for conservation-type activities such as those listed. If you would like to be on the mailing list or would like more information, please email the district office. Along with the nursery stock, the District has available weed barrier fabric in varying sized rolls. Please contact us for cost and availability. The Conservation District obtains this seed mix in large quantities and can therefore sell it to you cheaper than you can buy wildflower seed at the store. Reviewed and given the "seal of approval" by the local NRCS Field Office staff, this mix is great for our location and contains no seed that can become problematical.
