I am out on sick leave today...caught the local crud that's going around I guess.  Ashley is in the office today, but anyone seeking 310 permits from Thursday's board meeting will have to wait til tomorrow.  I'll be mailing/emailing them out in the morning when I'm back in the office.  In the meantime, it's tea and toast and naps for me.  Below is a screen capture from my weather cam looking roughly south west over the valley.  Windy and lots of clouds today.

Forestry Meeting

The NRCS Field Office staff are hosting a meeting up at Unionville tonight, February 11, 2016  in regard to their Ten Mile Forestry initiative.  The meeting will be at the Unionville Fire Department and will start at 6 p.m.   They will be discussing technical and financial assistance through the Natural Resources Conservation Service for treating forestry issues on private land.   Deadline for applications is 5/20/16. Weed Cost Share Program-2016

The Lewis & Clark Conservation District Board is once again offering a noxious weed cost share program for 2016.  Now in its 6th year, this program is for privately owned land in Lewis & Clark County and provides 50% or up to $1500 cost share for chemical, for commercial applicator, for biological controls (insects) or re-seeding.  Group applications may qualify for up to $5000 or 50% for projects such as Homeowner Association sprayed roads or Irrigation District sprayed ditches/canals. Encouraging Pollinators

Board Meeting for February

The next regular board meeting of the Lewis & Clark Conservation District Board of Supervisors will take place February 11, 2016 at 1 pm in the USDA Service Center Conference Room, 790 Colleen Street, Helena MT 59601.   Due to the fact that the January meeting was cancelled, the board will be reviewing and hopefully approving, the 2016 Budget and 2016 Annual Plan of Operations.
