Shelterbelts are widely used in the plains/grassland parts of the country to reduce wind erosion. They are also used to reduce dust on well-traveled gravel or dirt roads and as privacy screens. Some shelterbelts are even planted to help benefit birds and other wildlife. Living snow fences help deposit snow where the landowner does want it, not where they don't--like on top of their house! Key Benefits
